ICMA

The International Congress of Maritime Arbitrators (ICMA) is a congress with a long history. It was established in 1972 to provide a forum for maritime arbitrators and lawyers from around the world to exchange views and news of professional interest.

TMP started the project in 2014 and was in charge of the complete congress planning and execution. One particular interesting obstacle was: It is a congress that values tradition. Just as a long history can be an advantage, it can also be a challenge. How do we organize the congress as how delegates would expect it to be and how do we do empress them with new ideas at the same time? Our laywer guests are platinum frequent travellers and many of them travel with their spouses from destiantion to destination. We have strengthened our focuses on the social program. During the 5 days congress, there were 4 evening events and 1 full day theme tours relating to Denmark's maritime history. In additional to that, spouses were well taken care of by our special spouse program. Overall, we believe we have lifted up the 2017 ICMA social program to a higher level.
